Alice Pailthorpe is an Investment Manager based in LCM’s Sydney office.
Alice is a specialist in class action litigation. She is passionate about identifying and assessing prospective funding opportunities to develop these into funded claims in order to achieve the best possible outcome for both LCM and its clients.
Alice joined LCM in November 2022. She works closely with LCM’s prospective and funded clients – and their legal teams – to ensure claims are progressed as efficiently and effectively as possible towards a successful result. This includes developing, modelling and assessing new claims, ongoing management of matters, strategic deliberations and forecasting matter outcomes.
As an experienced commercial litigator, Alice has worked on numerous high profile class actions and some of the most complex litigation in Australia. Prior to joining LCM, Alice worked in big law and helped clients achieve the best possible outcome in a range of commercial disputes, including financial services and corporations law disputes, competition and consumer law (including cartel disputes), regulatory investigations across a range of regulators, and energy and resources disputes. These disputes included but were not limited to class actions. Prior to her roles in big law, Alice was Associate to the Honourable Justice Foster in the Federal Court of Australia and also had a prior career in social work and social policy where she worked with vulnerable communities.
